"The Joe Satriani Gear" Sweepstakes Official Rules.

1. PROMOTIONAL PERIOD: Sweepstakes begins at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time ("E.T.") on July 24, 2007 and ends at 3:00 p.m. E.T. on December 31, 2007.

2. HOW TO ENTER: Visit www.surfingwiththealien.com, enter your email address and complete the online entry form as prompted. All information must be complete to be eligible. You may come back once per day to enter. Limit one entry per person/email address per day. Use of computer programs and/or other automated devices to enter sweepstakes is prohibited. Normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by your on-line service will apply.

3. RANDOM DRAWING: This sweepstakes will have one drawing. The entrants selected as the winners must comply with all terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all such requirements. Winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. The drawing will be conducted on or about January 7, 2008, by Don Jagoda Associates, Inc., an independent judging organization whose decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. The potential winners will be notified by e-mail.

4. PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE ("ARV"): One Grand Prize winner will receive: An Ibanez JS1200 Joe Satriani Signature Guitar (autographed by Joe Satriani), a Planet Waves Strap (autographed by Joe Satriani), ten (10) sets of D'Addario Electric Guitar Strings, a Planet Waves Pedal Tuner, five (5) Planet Waves Joe Satriani Straps, a Planet Waves Chrome Dome Pick System, a Planet Waves Pro Winder and a collection of Joe Satriani compact discs as selected by Sponsors, including an autographed "Surfing With The Alien 20th Anniversary" deluxe 2-disc edition (ARV: $2,271.40). Five First Prizes winners will each receive: Ten (10) sets of D'Addario Electric Guitar Strings, a Planet Waves Joe Satriani Strap, a Planet Waves Chrome Dome Pick System, a Planet Waves Pro Winder and a collection of Joe Satriani compact discs as selected by Sponsors, including an autographed "Surfing With The Alien 20th Anniversary" deluxe 2-disc edition (ARV: $486.47 each). Prizes are nontransferable and must be accepted as awarded. No cash or other substitution may be made, except by Sponsors in the event that the prize (or portion of prize) cannot be awarded for any reason, in which case, Sponsors will award a prize of equal or greater value.

5. ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes open to legal residents of the United States, who are 18 years of age or older as of date of entry. Employees of D'Addario & Company, Inc., Sony BMG Music Entertainment and any of their affiliates, parents or subsidiaries, respective parent, subsidiary and affiliate companies, advertising and promotion agencies and Don Jagoda Associates, Inc. and members of their immediate families (spouses, parents, children, and siblings and their spouses) and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.

6. GENERAL RULES: Potential Grand Prize winner will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release, and where legal, a Publicity Release within ten days of first notification attempt. First Prize winners will be required to respond to an email notification with their mailing address within 10 days of first notification attempt. Noncompliance within this time period will result in disqualification and another winner may be selected in the place of the disqualified person at random from all eligible entries received. Any prize or prize notification returned as non-deliverable will result in disqualification and an alternate winner selected. By accepting a prize, winners agree that the Sponsors and those acting under the Sponsors' authority, may use winners' names, pictures/portraits, likenesses and/or voices, for advertising and promotional purposes without further consideration, unless prohibited by law. ENTRANTS AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND THE DECISIONS OF THE JUDGES. BY ACCEPTING A PRIZE, WINNERS AGREE THAT THE SPONSORS, AFFILIATES, PARENTS OR SUBSIDIARIES, RESPECTIVE PARENT, SUBSIDIARY AND AFFILIATE COMPANIES, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION AGENCIES, WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR, AND WILL BE HELD HARMLESS BY WINNER FOR ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND TO PERSONS, INCLUDING DEATH, AND PROPERTY, DUE IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF A PRIZE OR PARTICIPATION IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY SWEEPSTAKES OR PRIZE RELATED ACTIVITY. All entries become the sole property of Sponsors and none will be returned. In the event of a dispute, entries made by Internet will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. The "authorized account holder" is deemed the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, service provider or other online organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Winners may be requested to provide Sponsors with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry. If for any reason the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure, human error or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsors that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, Sponsors reserve the right in their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes and award the prizes from among all eligible entries received prior to cancellation or termination. Sponsors assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. The Sponsors are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Sponsors on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, any combination thereof, or otherwise, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the Sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
